Watch This Kid From Portland Throw A Perfect Game On Just 86 Pitches

I don’t want to get too long in the tooth on a Wednesday morning about undersized college baseball lefty pitchers. But here we are once again with an unbelievable story about Ryan Rembisz throwing a Perfect game against Seattle on just 86 pitches.

And obviously Seattle blows but the thing about college baseball is that almost everyone can hit in just about every lineup. Hitting above .300 isn’t a big deal and most of these guys can tattoo baseballs into the stratosphere. Even though they suck and it’s Seattle and nobody is getting drafted or making it onto a professional roster. I can guarantee you they can still hit fastballs down the middle and hanging sliders enough to be in uniform for a division 1 team.

And all of that to say they looked like complete shit against Ryan Rembisz last night in just his 3rd career start! The senior lefty spent last year in the bullpen and was presumably out to throw a couple innings of midweek action before the pitching coach realized what was in play. So then you have to imagine they would let the senior throw until someone got on base, and that probably happened around/after the 3rd inning. So even though it’s remarkable, I’d argue it’s even MORE remarkable because he’s not a starter. He wasn’t slated to go 6 innings and grind it out. These are classic bullpen days where you throw 5 or 6 arms to get them ready for conference play on the weekend. And instead selfish Ryan Rembisz decides to pitch the entire game all for himself.

Absolutely incredible.
