Friendly Reminder: The Monday Morning Cubs Show For This Week Is Both Available And Outstanding

I’m working on this Kyle Tucker blog and have absolutely no idea who these guys are.

It’s driving me crazy and I don’t want to ask on Twitter because I’m nervous it’s too casual or too easy and that will expose me for being a fraud.

So instead I just wanted to repost the podcast from yesterday to keep the blog traffic rolling on a slow week.

If you haven’t, go listen and then please contribute to the broader community conversation of what we should do with the bench into the trade deadline. That’s my #1 concern because I think it’s the hardest and most complex problem to solve. Where as starting pitching is just a trade. Bullpen is just a trade. Bench requires considering the guys we have now (nightmare scenario) plus the AAA options but minus the prospect considerations for other trades, and then you have to weigh that against what’s available in the market and historically that’s a weak market. That’s why you get your utility veteran bench guys in the offseason like Berti.

But now that the season is into July, we obviously need a lefty bat and more thunder from the right side. No doubt about it.

Mahoney and I talk through this shit extensively and I could use some help from you guys.

It takes a village.

So if you have strong takes, jump into the conversation and make yourself available because that’s the spirit of the Monday Morning Cubs Show. It’s almost entirely written using listener-feedback about talking topics, which I find both unique and refreshing.

So go check it out when you get a chance.

And heads up I need help with those two guys or else I have to blog that separately and that’s a real bad look. So if you know who they are, please tell me within the next hour.

God Bless and Go Cubs.
