Breaking Down My 1st Lineup Preview Of The Season

Cubs are about to play the Dodgers and I wanted to throw some notes together before first pitch.

Consider this a selfish exercise to help me keep my thoughts organized:

  • 6.5 lineup preview … it’s a big location heavy video series historically, so I don’t love the kitchen table. But same time I don’t have a ton of choice on location when Cubs play at 5am in Tokyo. Good chance we do a lot of these at the kitchen table
  • I hate the pause between Michael Busch and Matt Shaw. I need to be more fluid going through the names and I also need to include positions. I can’t be assuming you guys where everyone plays every single day.
  • Coffee was piping hot and delicious, so that’s nice
  • No pregame show from Marquee Network is complete bullshit. At least prerecord something next time and sell the advertising rights to Wintrust. There’s no reason anyone should wake up at 4:30am to a hearing aid paid promotion
  • Seiya Suzuki is going to have a Ron Santo season with 90 walks, 90 runs, 90 rbis
  • Cubs are taking the field right now and I’m getting nervous because I don’t want to have a emotional tumultuous season like last year. Please if you’re reading this – help me stay positive because I need it.
  • Ohtani looks so good
  • Tickets cost $2,000
  • I’m very happy to be watching this one from the couch in Sugar Grove, IL

Go Cubs
