Cooper DeJean’s High School Mix Tape Is The Most Uncomfortable Thing I’ve Watched Since Two Girls/One Cup Was A Thing

I recently posted about 1,300 words on the Chicago Cubs so excuse me if this blog is a little shorter. We’re gearing up for the Man City/Real Madrid Champions match and trying to squeeze in one more long walk before we get 10 inches of snow for the next 2 weeks. So needless to say we have a little bit of urgency around here and hopefully that extends itself to the 2025 Chicago Cubs lineup but I digress. My point is things are getting a little busy so I wanted to take a step back and gather myself around some of the most unbelievable high school basketball highlights I have ever watched.

And let there be no doubt that I’m the king of highlight reals. I grew up on Sam McGuffie and Bobby Frasor. I was forged in the fires of grainy mixtapes long before social media established a culture. So spare me whatever type of bullshit you’re cooking up about my false affinities. This shit is very real to me, which is why I’m comfortable saying Cooper DeJean is a better high school basketball player than he is an NFL corner.

And I know he just won the Super Bowl on a pick 6 and blah blah blah. You can have all the pick 6’s in the world and it won’t change the fact that he’s out collecting souls on a high school basketball court. In the NFL, he’s pretty good. In Iowa high school hoops, he’s Lord Voldemort before stopping at Godric’s Hollow. That’s Sauron forging rings with a cursed Celebrimbor. Dark Magic from a Dark Lord that is tireless in his pursuit of absolute power.

That’s what I see from Cooper DeJean on a high school basketball court and it makes me uncomfortable.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to start my Champions League blog which is going to take some time because I don’t know shit about soccer other than it’s a nice relaxing experience on TV and that more Americans would enjoy it given the chance. That’s my take on soccer and you can expect much more of it in the future of CarlsBlogs.com
