I’m about to go for a long walk and just wanted to throw this up here for the diehards.
This is really good stuff and I wanted to share it in full because I’m not down in Arizona watching each game. I’m here in Sugar Grove Illinois running the family business and writing offseason Chicago Bears blogs.
So this is really good shit about the bullpen:

I want to spend a lot of time on the bullpen this year because it was our worst aspect last season. And now with more pieces in place, you could argue it will be the most important facet of the 2025 Cubs. Good bullpen will mean a good team. Bad bullpen will mean a shitty team. More than anything else, I think it’s the biggest driving factor in the Cubs’ success.
On that front, I want to see more from Craig Counsell. Right now I kinda hate him and his smug decision making. One way to get over that is good performances from relievers. We get a deep roster of arms and I’m much more likely to come around on Craig.
Until then he kinda stinks.
Hopefully the bullpen is much better.
