The Bulls sent this tweet out last night and I almost fucking died no joke.

AGAINT THE PISTONS?
WITH CAPTAIN KIRK IN THE HOUSE?
We need to completely overhaul IN THE HOUSE as a way of referencing a former player’s return
Just a classic, textbook, old fashioned molly whopping from an average Detroit team

Matas Buzelis – the Bulls most recent first round pick – led the way with 12 points for the Bulls. And with that I am convinced 12 points has to be the least amount of points scored by a leading scorer in any NBA game this season. I don’t know how to verify that but I’ll bet any one of you $20 that it’s true.
Even so, people like his game a lot despite losing by 40 last night. So much that the guys on 670 yesterday went as far as saying that Matas would be better than Cooper Flagg!
Granted, Kendall Gill could be biased because he’s Kendall Gill. But just saying those names in the same sentence right now seems blasphemous given how long Cooper Flagg has been considered the #1 player of his class compared to how forgettable the Bulls have become.
And I’m not discounting Matas’s development as much as I’m just saying the Bulls are fucking trash and Billy Donovan doesn’t seem to be the guy for the next chapter. Consider everything Matas has to work against and then to compare him against Cooper Flagg seems literally INSANE
Or is it?
I think the reason it blows so much is that we have no hope AT ALL for the future of the Bulls. Jerry Reinsdorf is a selfish, terrible person who will never care about his basketball team. He has no good players, weak leadership, and no motivation to improve anything as the fans still show up and pay out of their butt cheeks to watch last place basketball. All that just to get this weak ass shot selection on a Tuesday night? GFY

That’s one half of basketball = 1 mid range attempt and it was a clanker.
This is borderline assault on the entire city of Chicago and I would like to press charges

Anyways the Bulls last by 40 last night to answer my original question. FORTY points at home.
And while we’ve become accustomed to bad sports in this town, I think it’s important to stress the Bulls. Especially because they’re just so important to the worst months of the year and have such control over how we get through them. Just think back to the D Rose days and the excitement day-to-day of following the schedule.
We’re in Phoenix tonight.
When’s the last time we talked like that about the Bulls in the middle of a winter week?
It simply doesn’t happen any more which blows because it very well could happen if we just had a decent team to follow.
But we don’t, so we lose by 40 and then turn around and ask last year’s teenage draft pick to outplay Cooper Flagg. All while trading away our most talented player for the 3rd time in 6 years so we can continue to scrape the bottom of the easiest professional sports league to achieve average. And we’ll do all of this while continuing to set league-wide attendance records for the city’s most perpetually tortured fanbase of the 21st century.
And if that doesn’t suck enough – the NBA is forcing the Bulls to play the Pistons at home again tonight. Not as a punishment for losing by 40 but as pre-scheduled back-to-back games in an effort to control travel. Or something like that.
Whatever.
Pistons -6 for everything I got.
