MBAPPE!!!! (And How I’d Fix The MLB WildCard Round)

I’m going to blog the shit out of awesome soccer goals because I love awesome soccer goals.

This is one of those goals from Kylian Mbappe.

He’s a french winger that’s maybe the fastest guy in the world. He played with Messi for a long time in Paris but then moved to Real Madrid this year.

He had a slow start to the year and Real Madrid fans complained he wasn’t up to the task. Like how Jason Heyward hit .200 when he joined the Cubs except Jason Heyward really sucked. The difference here is that Kylian Mbappe is an elite world talent and kinda looks like Leonardo the ninja turtle.

Another thing I like is the Champions League Aggregate Goal format. They play two games (1 road, 1 home) against the same club, then you decide winner based on the aggregate score of the two games. So it could be 2-0 in game 1. But then that team drop game 2 by a score of 0-3 and they would lose on “aggregate goals” by a score of 3-2. That’s a super simple concept to understand so if you don’t get it, that’s your fault.

The reason I like Aggregate Goal Format is for baseball. Especially for the wild card round of the playoffs that’s turned into complete trash with these fake 3 game series. I think it would be so much more intense and easier for travel and scheduling and sponsorships to give a fixed two game wildcard with aggregate run determining the winner. One stadium, back-to-back days without any of this elimination game 3 bullshit. You can save some of the pitching for the division round, overall increasing the quality of play throughout the playoffs.

Who says no?
