Masters starts next week and we’re off today with the Cubs so figured it would be a good time to start revving that engine.
I like a good shank because it’s the only time in pro sports where the professionals fuck up just like you and me. It’s by far the most relatable event in sports and it’s so humiliating.
Good reminder that golf is a hard game.
I played an 18 hole match against Graeme McDowell and almost beat him. We were on 18 and he had like a 30 yard chip/pitch to a center flag for his 3rd on a par 5. Never seen anyone duff a chip harder. He threw his club into the ground and got all mad. I couldn’t help myself from asking. You guys make that mistake too? He snapped at me. MORE THAN I WANT TO.
Jeremy Roenick had a 4 footer to clean up the match and he pulled it left. One of the worst moments in my sporting career and something I’ll never forgive JR for. That’s a true story and I’ll tell the full thing in greater detail on another MMCS.
For now I just wanted to share a solid 11 minutes of great shanks in anticipation of one of my favorite weeks on the calendar.
