So biggest story in the universe right now is this Blue Jays correspondent getting a phone number in the middle of last night’s game. Credentialed people everywhere see it as a blatant violation of pretentious standards and they’re all complaining like a bunch of crybaby virgins. And while they’re plenty easy to attack, I just want to point out that maybe these girls want to go out and have some fun?
Is it that crazy? Maybe a couple girls in business casual hanging out in the Corona Lounge on a mid-April Monday for interleague play are the exact type of girls that enjoy being taken out for a nice meal and/or live entertainment?
And just a hunch but my gut says a couple of young blondes may or may not like a little sex every now and then.
Granted I don’t know these broads from Eve but I’m inclined to say they can handle themselves just fine based primarily on location. You don’t go all the way up here unless you want to be all the way up here:
A good example would be a classic 4am bar like Beaumonts or Hangge Uppe. By virtue of just being in that room, you’re sending a message about yourself regardless of who you are. And at the very minimum, that message says you won’t be in a crisis because someone asked for your phone number.
So don’t feel bad when a couple Toronto 7’s go viral online. Don’t admonish the young cocksman that’s not afraid to hear a no. And don’t make this any bigger than just a couple young kids who like to fuck, trying to keep it honest at a ballgame.
With that in mind – I’ve never been to Toronto but I would imagine the talent pool is similar to Chicago with respect to the volume of: sure, I would.
If I’m wrong, I apologize.
But where I’m from these are couple classic Toronto 7’s perfectly capable of ruining some poor schmuck’s life. And as such I will reserve my outrage for a more appropriate cause such as Craig Counsell’s bullpen usage and overall game strategy.
