First things first I didn’t cry, so don’t call me a pussy. I promise you guys. Those weren’t tears coming down my face at all it’s just a little dusty at the Farm because we’re airing out the windows after a week locked inside because of the subzero temperatures. And now all the particles and pollen and stuff is swirling in the house and getting in my eyes and causing a disruption that looks like I’m crying but I’m definitely not crying. I’m just irritated and that’s causing them to be red and water. It literally has nothing to do with the emotional hammer Timothee Chalamet’s swinging on stage, talking about his mom and boldly/humbly declaring his pursuit of excellence. I find it really special and emotional but I’m definitely not crying about it.
I know you guys don’t believe me but for real. The pollen count out here is stupid in late February.
That aside, I really like Timothee Chalamet to the point that I feel LUCKY to get to watch his career unfold. He’s honestly such a special talent and he’s got crazy range in his roles. And he appears to be a normal kid from New York City that grew up wanting to be the best actor of all time. The press-run behind his Bob Dylan roll revealed a lot about his character and each interaction he seemed cooler and more authentic and normal, which I figure is pretty much impossible these days in Hollywood. But alas, he’s like the anti-Hollywood Hollywood star and it’s amazing.
Just a good dude and this aligns with a recent revelation that I don’t enjoy things while they’re happening. The only actively touring band in my top 20 is Phish and they’ve been together for like 40 years. All the movies I love are from 40+ years ago at least. All the authors I enjoy are long dead and gone. Even baseball is an aged and dying sport.
Timothee Chalamet might be the freshest and most relevant club in my bag. Like a shiny new driver that doesn’t autoshank dead right any more. I’m actually excited to get on the tee box and let it rip because now I have the distance and technology behind me.
That’s how I feel about TC and whether or not that makes any sense, let’s get one thing straight here guys.
I wasn’t crying I swear.
