Wake Up With Full Game Highlights From The Cubs’ Sweep In Sacramento

I want to keep the train rolling right along here on our first domestic Off Day of the season and that means full game highlights from the MLB YouTube channel.

Nice thing about full highlights is that you get the Good and the Bad from the game. They have the time to show you Kyle Tucker’s sac fly and Justin Turner’s strikeout from the first inning. There’s room to go through a Jameson Taillon scouting report while you watch him mow down Athletic hitters. They give you a lot of information to form an opinion about a particular game and that’s why we love Full Game Highlights whenever we can get them.

With that – it’s amazing how far we’ve come in baseball media just over the last 10 years. Back then merely sharing a video on twitter would get you banned for life and your account surrendered to the Russians. Now we’ve got Pitching Ninja breaking down yesterday’s gyro lunch with a large fry for the bullpen and everybody loves the content. And personally I think that’s really good for the health and strength of baseball.

So enjoy the highlights and get some rest today. We’re in Wrigley Field tomorrow at 1:20pm for the home opener against the undefeated Padres and I need everyone’s best efforts.

Some other programming notes:

  • Mahoney and I are going to do 30 minutes this morning for a midweek Cubs podcast. Keep your eyes peeled for that
  • I thought the Athletics would be much better. I’m still not sure how to react to this series. I think the California League gets explosive offensive from the air pressure and the elevation. And I think Sacramento falls into that bucket, which is preventing me from overreacting too much.
  • Extend Kyle Tucker
  • Matt Shaw read the blog about me not being too impressed with him so he hit me with a smorgasbord game yesterday doing all the little things on offense. He looks problematic in the 8 spot.
  • But he mad another error at 3rd base and that’s 3 on a very young season on pace for like 75 and that’s just not gonna work for me at the hot corner young man. Clean it up.

And then personal notes:

  • Good to be back fellas
  • Going for a long walk today and still listening to Wheel of Time on tape and I’m really enjoying the journey
  • We hit our 1-month goal for Sterk Family Farms over the weekend with 10 days left in our 1st month and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been cool to me about the next chapter. Not just people buying the product but literally anyone that’s been cool and supportive about this. It means a lot more than I can explain right now and I just wanted to say thank you.

I’ll be back at 9:30am.

Everyone have a great day please.
