This is the first Wednesday morning in the history of CarlsBlogs.com and I’m actually feeling really dangerous right now. I’m about to exercise and then eat a nice solid breakfast while I continue my offseason preparation into the Cubs 40-man roster. I’ll watch Scottie Puppen take a nice big dump and I’ll probably have 2-3 cups of piping hot coffee – no cream/no sugar. I’m a buzz-only in the morning kinda coffee drinker and that’s never gonna change.
Along the way, I will enjoy some Gary Clark Jr. because he’s one of the greatest living guitar players. So prepare to have your awe freshly inspired.
My only complaint here is that he plays for just 15 minutes. But alas that’s one of the primary constraints with the Tiny Desk series, and exactly what makes it so special. Right? RIGHT?

Anyways this is the 3rd installment of our Wake Up With NPR Tiny Desk concerts. I like starting the day with live music and I’m open to suggestions to expand my own personal catalogue. Presently that includes a Nine Inch Nails major resurgence but that’s a completely different blog. For now just do me a favor and give me a heads up if Gary Clark Jr. is within a 250 mile radius of the greater Chicago area.
Thank you, and have a splendid Wednesday.
