Wake Up With Heist Starring Gene Hackman (FULL MOVIE)

Gene Hackman passed away sadly last night at the age of 94. He’s one of my dad’s favorite actors and that’s largely because he was so good in the movie Hoosiers.

I tried tracking it down but there’s no good versions of it available for piracy. Everything’s behind a paywall and that kinda makes me angry because I think when a big actor dies, the whole catalogue should be open source for 48-72 hours. Give the people unfettered access to pay their respects and Make Gene Hackman movies free.

Alas, they are not. So instead we get his 2001 effort in Heist. Here’s what research says about the film.

Heist (2001), directed by David Mamet, stars Gene Hackman as Joe Moore, a seasoned thief drawn into one final job. After being betrayed during a heist, Joe is forced into a risky gold robbery involving his partner Bobby Blane (Danny DeVito) and a mysterious accomplice, Sarah (Rebecca Pidgeon). As tensions rise, Joe’s carefully laid plans unravel, testing his trust in those around him. The film showcases Mamet’s trademark sharp dialogue and suspenseful twists, exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and greed. Hackman delivers a compelling performance in this gripping, morally complex crime thriller.

I like Danny DeVito a lot so I’m going to give this one a shot. You guys are welcome to join me but don’t feel any pressure. I’d hate for you to fall behind on the day’s work because you got caught up honoring Gene Hackman in the morning. Leave it to me if necessary and I’ll pay the respects for you.

In other news, Gene Hackman had the best house at Pebble Beach off the 10th green.

It sold for $27,000,000 not too long ago.

Hopefully he got to spend a lot of that money before he died.

Rest in Peace Gene Hackman
