Wake Up With Juvenile’s Tiny Desk Concert From NPR

The first blog I posted on CarlsBlogs.com should be a Bob Weir NPR Tiny Desk concert and that’s because I love Bob Weir and Tiny Desk concerts.

That said – I saw this yesterday and almost fuckin died. Juvenile rocks and the adaptation to fit the NPR studio is perfect.

So naturally I hope you guys enjoy or at least bookmark it for later enjoyment. Maybe when the loins are nice and loose and you’ve had a little cabernet sauvignon.

With that in mind, here are my top Juvenile songs:

  1. Back That Ass Up

There is no #2 when you’re working with that kind of #1.

Some other programming notes:

  • Go listen to the MMCS if you like the Cubs because Mahoney and I got an absolute whopper of a show this week. I’ll link below
  • Yesterday was the Cubs last off day for 9 straight games and they’re all on the road. This is one of those situations where I know we have a good baseball team but I’m conditioned to be nervous for a big losing streak because things have been so good lately and we don’t necessarily deserve them. So excuse me if I’m going to be a little panicked to open up June. There’s quite literally nothing I can do about it.
  • I have some coyotes that are really pissing me off lately and I kinda want to kill them but I also don’t want to mess with the local ecosystem too much. They murdered my fox in cold blood a couple weeks back and the hole only grows larger. I fucking hate coyotes.
  • I made a couple swing changes the last few weeks and finally played with them over the weekend and hit the ball really well. So obviously it’s all that I can think about right now which means next time on a golf course, I can promise you it will be the worst I have ever hit it. That’s how this sick cruel game works. The second you think you’re onto something, you’re completely fucked. And that’s where I’m at right now with my game. I’m completely fucked.
  • I am rolling the rock though. For real.
  • Two more episodes of Andor left that I was hoping to squeeze in last night but we’re in full production mode at Sterk Family Farms right now which means 250 new chapsticks and another 100 miracle balms coming out of the shop last night. As such there’s no time for silly TV shows when you’re literally in the lab cooking. And by “in the lab cooking” I obviously mean just watching my wife wheel and deal while politely asking me to stay out of here way. Do you need something from the fridge? No. Okay then close it and go watch your college baseball.
  • God Bless that woman.
  • I think we’re going to stay on the 8am-10am-12pm-2pm-4pm-6pm-8pm blog schedule until I think of something different. It’s an evolving process and I appreciate your patience.
  • Go listen to the Monday Morning Cubs Show when you get a chance

  1. Carl – can you do a blog about how ridiculous the MLB scheduling and interleague play has become? It is June 3rd and we have not played the Cardinals.
