Happy Masters Thursday and hopefully you guys are able to watch some of it. This is one of the best couple days in sports and I think it’s the first weekend to mark the start of spring. By Masters weekend we should have good weather expectations and that’s a full month later than St. Patricks Day, which gets a lot of credit around Chicago for saying winter is over.
I say Saint Patricks Day is overrated and the real start of spring is Masters Thursday.
So in that spirit, happy spring. You should go ahead and lose that weight you’ve been sitting on – just my own opinion.
Some other programming notes:
- I went to the Cubs game with Mahoney yesterday and we tied it on. I think we hit 9 different bars before and after. Made a couple good friends along the way. More importantly it’s good to get a couple Cubs games out of the way early in the season because I don’t need to go back until maybe June now?
- I think watching a game on TV is a significantly better experience if you actually want to watch the game. If you want to fuck off, then there’s no better place than Wrigley.
- I think I’d rather watch a 2025 Cubs game closely then fuck off at Wrigley if given the choice. Not to say I don’t like fucking off at Wrigley but more that I just really like watching this baseball team.
- Plan today is for a full day of blogging on the regular schedule
- Cubs podcast with Mahoney will be recorded later this afternoon and released around lunch time.
