Today’s a really big day because we’re taking my dog Scottie Puppen to a big vet appointment to look at some bumps on his body. This obviously has me on edge to start the week and yesterday’s bullpen performance is helping anyone’s cause. So let’s make this a quick blog so I can refocus my attention to more pressing matters: Scottie’s Health.
With that in mind, some notes to kick off the week:
- The 1st episode of the 2nd season of the Monday Morning Cubs Show with me and Mahoney is now live at Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
- Mahoney is my close buddy and a real legit guy. Graduated from Sandburg in the early 2000’s then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Illinois with a degree in chemical engineering
- We don’t talk the way we do on purpose
- People are mad at me for being mad at Craig Counsell because you think I should actually be mad at Tom and Jed first. And in turn, it really pisses me off because it’s just so stupid to me. You’re not in charge of what I’m upset about.
- Craig Counsell has been horrific managing the bullpen. You’re gonna tell me that’s because the bullpen sucks. I’m going to remind you the bullpen is filled with major league arms that you and I could manage better than letting Eli Morgan shit his pants on a Sunday afternoon.
- Kyle Tucker needs to be extended tomorow
- The Starting pitching has been hit or miss and I think it’s going to be much better in the future when the weather gets warm around Wrigley
- Until then, the schedule blows so hard for April and you know this already because you read the blog and listen to me complain. So you know it’s impossible to start before becoming extremely easy in May and that’s a fair trade off we talk about extensively this week.
- It’s good to be back with the podcast and the blogs and the twitter stuff during Cubs games. I’m not being a pussy but I’ll admit that I missed the action and contributing to the broader collective. So it’s good to be back and I’m excited to cover this Cubs season like it owes me money
We restocked Timber & Tea Tree this weekend. So if you’re inclined, check it out at SterkFamilyFarms.com
Excited for you to be back Carl
