As somebody who owns and plays the piano pretty regularly I can tell you that I know enough to know Nancy Faust is the greatest stadium organist of your fuckin life and there is no second place. So let’s get that out of that way and established up front. Nancy Faust is better on the keys than anyone on the White Sox is at their respective position. And if half that roster had a fraction of her drive, commitment and excellence, they wouldn’t be the sorriest excuse of professional baseball players this side of the ’94 strike.
That said.
No surprise the White Sox are undefeated when Nancy Faust is in the organist booth this year.
And to Jerry – I’m sure this marks the first of many Nancy Faust victories.
Also nice, Tim Elko made his debut this week and he doesn’t look terrible

And if you remember, Tim Elko is legendary figure from college baseball who somewhat singlehandedly took Ole Miss from the last team in the tournament to the National Championship. Pretty cool college baseball allows for that but then also kinda funny that every scout writes this guy off for being too fat/white/slow/chubby/out of position so he ends up going in the 10th round and signing for peanuts.
Then he posts a 1.100 OPS in 31 games at AAA and now it would appear the White Sox have their next 1st baseman of the future.
Sucks for Andrew Vaughn but that’s because Andrew Vaughn sucked. Worse than Madrigal? Maybe not but still a terrible player and someone that should have never been drafted by the White Sox. But that’s a different blog.
For now just wanted to get you guys a sweet little taste of Nancy Faust on the organ after celebrating her a little bit last week. Just your classic circle-back and follow up on Nancy.
