It’s MLB Opening Day and I’ve finally decided on where I’m watching first pitch.
We’re going to Buffalo Wild Wings.
A lot of people thought I’d stay at home and make a pizza or a quesadilla.
Even more said that I was too chicken shit to post up somewhere.
Ultimately though I’ve listened to heart and soul and figured out the best move is a Buffalo Wild Wings.
I’m going 10 wings to start, half hot and half garlic Parmesan.
I’m going to get a 22 ounce cold frothy cold one with the beer spilling over the top. She’ll put it down and apologize to me for the mess. Lemme grab a couple extra napkins sweety. And then I’m going to nuke a double sandwich order to go. One with the toppings on the side so I can recreate the sandwich in it’s perfection later.
Mrs. Carl is supposed to get home at about 7:30pm which gives me plenty of time to space the sandwiches out.
First one goes at about 3pm.
Next one at 6-6:30 and then she comes home and asks me if I want to go anywhere for a quick bite before the Cubs game at 9pm.
I think that would be SO fun
Super fun
And I’ll already be 10 wings and 2 buffalo chicken sandwiches deep on the day. I’ll have a couple full MLB games under my belt and all the hope and promise that comes with the start of the baseball season.
Even if the Cubs are already 0-2 with the worst schedule on the planet to open the season.
You can’t take this Buffalo Wild Wings trip from me and as a 38 year old man I sincerely hope you know where I’m coming from on this one.
If not, then I’ll pray for you over a mich ultra.
In the meantime, let’s get a Hooters west of Naperville and let’s do it pronto. I like BWW but if you’re comparing the two, there is no comparison.
Give me a good Hooters or give me bankruptcy.

I lived 2 blocks from a BWW in 2005 and went every single night with my roommate to watch MLB games and pound light domestics before hitting the bars. Truly the time of my life. Glad to know you’re in the zone.

Nothing better than sneakin some sandys and then gettin hit with the “wanna go out to eat?”. Being already semi full, you get to order a healthier option at dinner and pretend like the diet is starting. Classic.
