I feel like this could be a 2,000 word deep dive into how much 670 The Score blows and how cheap the Cubs are and blah blah blah. But I’ll just make it simple because some times it’s simply that easy:
Pat and Ron deserve to be in Japan and it’s complete fucking bullshit they’re not.
It actually really bothers me notwithstanding health concerns I don’t know about. Or some extenuating circumstances that evade me at this moment.
But as it stands, I’m really disappointed to see all the social media on the trip only to see Pat & Ron in a dark booth alone calling the game for the local audience.
What the fuck happened to this town?
AGAIN – I’ll stop right now if someone can explain a valid reason why Pat and Ron don’t make the travel roster. Please by all means give it to me.
But until I get that, I’m left to assume that people just don’t care about the radio guys any more. That they’re expendable and times have moved on and they should be lucky to get a paycheck. I’m left to assume the absolute worst and the absolute worst is nothing short of absolute fucking bullshit disrespect.

Isn’t Pat Hughes an active member of the Cubs Hall of Fame?
Something doesn’t make sense here and I’m inclined to blame the Cubs for being insensitive and cheap.
And while there could very easily be a very valid reason – this is the spot we find ourselves when we go cheap for so many offseasons. I don’t have any other choice but to see this as cheap because that’s what the Cubs have made me believe over time. This is our identity. We leave Pat and Ron at home because a guy in business casual wants to see more ROI first.
Fuck that and forget this.
I want answers and I want them now.
Maybe they were asked, and one/both didn’t want to make the trip? Pat’s old, I don’t know if I would want to go overseas for work when I know I have a long season ahead of me.
Getting really tired of people (both on the internet and in real life) just assuming every decision is made because of insensitivity, lack of respect, or (insert some other moral slight here). But I guess that’s what gets the clicks.
