The Last Time An American Leader Invaded And Conquered Europe Like Brad Underwood, The World Was At War With Hitler

I don’t want to make a huge deal about geopolitical relations in the Balkans but at the same time I’d be remiss not to point out that it’s been a solid 80 something years since an American leader has stormed through Europe like Brad Underwood. Truly it’s remarkable and something we need to take a step back and celebrate.

Especially at a time and era when parents and AAU managers are completely ruining college sports.

Underwood’s out here playing chess.

Hard to bitch at the coach about playing time when your 5,000 miles away just like it’s hard to cry to mom and dad about coach when you need a 15 hour international flight to see each other.

In other words it’s old school college coaching where Underwood becomes your head coach, guardian, leader and full authority on everything in your life. And if we want to get back to the Final 4 I honestly don’t know if there’s a better solution then giving full executive power to Brad Underwood by way of European player relations.

They’re intelligent and fundamental. They hustle and hit the glass. I assume they’re also punctual and go to class and represent the program around campus well. Most of them probably go to church and facetime Nana on Saturday night. Take it all together and it’s hard to find a fault in the European cultural presence and that’s before we even talk mix tape.

Now with Petrovic that gives us 4 Balkan standouts with Stojakovic waiting to commit:

  • Ivisic 1
  • Ivisic 2
  • David Mirkovic
  • Mihailo Petrovic

One thing I’m hesitant about is having Croatian and Serbian blood in the same locker room. Those guys typically hate each other and that could potentially get ugly but I figure Colonel Underwood can keep the boys in line.

For real though I think this is a genius recruiting strategy to become the premier European destination. Gonzaga was emerging for a minute but now I think the crown goes to Illinois and we can thank Giorgi Bezhanishvili for paving the way.
